Dr. Hsu won the Medical Contribution Award of the International Academic Conference of Chinese medicine

The National Union of Chinese Medicine Doctors Association R.O.C. organized the 2012 International Academic Conference of Chinese medicine to celebrate the 82nd Annual Chinese Doctor's Day. The conference was held in the auditorium of the New Taipei City Hall in the morning of March 25. Dr. Hsu Chung-Hua, the teacher of institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in school of medicine, won the Medical Contribution Award in the conference.

The vice president, Vincent Siew, was also invited to the opening ceremony. He awarded the winners of medical devotion, social welfare etc. Dr. Hsu promotes long-term medical services in remote areas and disadvantaged populations, and deep into traditional health care of aboriginal tribes and the outlying island. His act of justice was deep impressed on Chinese medicine profession so he got the award.

Dr. Hsu said many predecessors engaged in primary health care services, he was just a backward. He thanked for the affirmation of Chinese medicine profession to his emphasis on this core value of the primary health care services. In many Islands tribal and remote areas, traditional medical services has become a payment from National Health Insurance. Dr. Hsu said good policy should be implemented into the system. Only patient-centered care is the permanent way to care the patients. He thanked everyone for recognition and support.
